Happy Sunday is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a dynamic and fast-growing client based in Liverpool. They are looking for an experienced and results-driven SEO Manager to join their in-house digital marketing team and lead on all things SEO. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a creative, data-led environment and is ready to take full ownership of organic search strategy.
What you will do
- Develop and execute SEO strategies to drive qualified organic traffic and improve search engine rankings
- Conduct regular website audits and implement on-page, off-page, and technical SEO improvements
- Perform keyword research, competitor analysis, and backlink strategy development
- Collaborate with content, design, and development teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented
- Monitor and report on SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs
- Stay updated with the latest algorithm updates, SEO trends, and industry changes
- Manage relationships with external agencies or freelancers when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a similar SEO-focused role, ideally in a fast-paced in-house environment
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and technical SEO
- Hands-on experience with SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog)
- Proficiency in website platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, or Magento
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
